This article describes a green method for regeneration of carbonyl compounds from various types of oxime compounds under microwave radiation using I-2 and aqueous saponin solution isolated from Shikakai. Effect of saponin concentration on yield percentage of regenerated different types of carbonyl compounds has been discussed. A correlation has been established between saponin concentration and yield percentage of carbonyl compounds. Mechanism of interaction between oxime and saponin is established on the basis of density functional theory. In addition, the quantum chemical parameters for saponin have been determined. Objective: The objective of this study was to compare the use of pulmonary regurgitation volume (PRV) or indexed PRV (PRVi) with that of pulmonary regurgitation fraction (PRF) in the assessment of patients with pulmonary regurgitation (PR) undergoing cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging. Materials and Methods: CMR of 176 patients with PR were retrospectively evaluated. Their right ventricular diastolic (end-diastolic volume index [EDVi]) and systolic (end-systolic volume index) volume indexes, stroke volume, and ejection fraction were obtained from cine CMR sequences, whereas phase-contrast flow sequences were analyzed to obtain PRV, PRVi, and PRF. Patients were divided into subgroups, according to underlying pathology and according to PR severity. Correlations between PRV or PRF and RV parameters were studied through Spearman rho, both in the main group and subgroups. Follow-up examinations were analyzed, and correlations between PRV or PRF from the first CMR examination and volume data from the second were calculated. Results: Tetralogy of Fallot was the main setting of PR (98/179). Overall, EDVi strongly correlates with PRV (rho=0.592, P<0.001) than with PRF (rho=0.522, P<0.001), and end-systolic volume index strongly correlates with PRV (rho=0.454, P<0.001) and PRF (rho=0.406, P <0.001). As regards subgroup analysis, in moderate or severe PR patients, EDVi strongly correlates (P=0.043) with PRV (rho=0.499, P<0.001) than with PRF (rho=0.317, P<0.001). Follow-up EDVi correlates with PRV (rho=0.450, P=0.031), but not with PRF. Conclusions: Especially when assessing moderate to severe PR, PRV and PRVi may be better indicators of right ventricular dysfunction than PRF. The oil and gas industry suffers from severe economic impact due to the corrosion of pipelines during the industrial oil-well acidizing process and because of the sweet corrosion of steel. One of the most common solutions to counter this issue is applying organic compounds as corrosion inhibitors. Conventionally used inhibitors are quite cumbersome to synthesize, are costly, and most are toxic. Therefore, there exists a need for research and development of novel, cost-effective, and eco-friendly corrosion inhibitors showing efficient inhibition performance. The present work describes the basics of corrosion, its economic impact, and the main strategies to counter this issue. Fundamentals of sweet corrosion, the mechanism involved, the influence of various governing factors, and the limitations of the existing inhibitor chemistries are explained. Some of the prominent classes of the environmentally benign sweet corrosion inhibitors such as the biopolymers, heterocyclic molecules, and pharmaceutical products are also outlined. Herein, we report the synthesis of 5,12-dihydropyrazino[2,3-c:5,6-c ‘]difuro[2,3-c:4,5-c ‘]-diquinoline-6,14(5H,12H)diones, 2-(4-hydroxy-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinolin-3-yl)-1,4-diphenyl- butane-1,4-diones and 4-(benzo-[d]oxazol-2-yl)-3-hydroxy-1H-[4,5]oxazolo[3,2-a]pyridine-1-one. A palladium-catalyzed C-O bond formation reaction between phenols and allenylic carbonates to give 2,3-allenic aromatic ethers with decent to excellent yields under mild reaction conditions has been described. A variety of synthetically useful functional groups are tolerated and the synthetic utility of this method has been demonstrated through a series of transformations of the allene moiety. By applying this reaction as the key step, the total syntheses of naturally occurring allenic aromatic ethers, eucalyptene and terricollene A (first synthesis; 4.5 g gram scale), have been accomplished.

An electrochemical multicomponent [3 + 1 + 1] annulation used for the synthesis of 1,3,5-trisubstituted 1,2,4-triazoles has been developed under transition-metal-, acid-, base- and external-oxidant-free conditions. In an undivided cell, a variety of hydrazones and aldehydes smoothly participate in this transformation to furnish a range of substituted 1,2,4-triazoles. The reaction constitutes a new transformation from hydrazones, aldehydes and NH4OAc into 1,2,4-triazoles, providing a unifying, simple and environmentally friendly approach to the currently available methods. First, we note in this paper that alpha-Hydroxyphosphonate acid ester was synthesized before; we confirmed it by a new method and its various properties are discussed experimentally and theoretically. The structure of Diethyl [hydroxy(4-methoxyphenyl) methyl] phosphonate (DH4MPMP) resolved by SXRD is compared to the optimized geometry, the FT-IR, NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopies results were compared and discussed experimentally and theoretically. The Hirshfeld surface analyses were employed to determine qualitative and quantitative intermolecular interactions present in the solid state and through, the supramolecular 3D-network was discussed. The UV-Vis spectrum exhibit a strong absorption in middle UV domain and an optical transmittance in the visible one. To be close from the experimental results, all DFT calculations based on B3LYP/6-31G (d,p) were detailed on monomer and dimer models. The DFT calculation of the second-order nonlinear optical properties is based on the first static hyperpolarizability (beta), the results show that the material might have nonlinear optical properties. The calculated frontier molecular orbitals and their energies were calculated. The research was extended to the calculations of the molecular electrostatic potential map; it shows negative potential areas localized around oxygen atoms as well as the positive localized around the hydrogen atoms. Finally, the thermodynamic functions (entropy, heat capacity and enthalpy) were determined from spectroscopic data by statistical methods in the range 100-1000 K and the experimental thermal decomposition behavior was analyzed by TGA. The conversion of silyloxyarenes to boronic acid pinacol esters via nickel catalysis is described. In contrast to other borylation protocols of inert C-O bonds, the method is competent in activating the carbon-oxygen bond of silyloxyarenes in isolated aromatic systems lacking a directing group. The catalytic functionalization of benzyl silyl ethers was also achieved under these conditions. Sequential cross-coupling reactions were achieved by leveraging the orthogonal reactivity of silyloxyarenes, which could then be functionalized subsequently.
