830-96-6, 3-Indolepropionic acid is a indole-building-block compound, ?involved in a variety of chemical synthesis. Rlated chemical reaction is continuously updated

Step A. Preparation of 3-(lH-indol-3-yl)propan-l-ol: To a solution of 3-(lH-indol-3- yl)propanoic acid (1.6g, 8.5 mmol) in THF (15 mL) was added BH3 in THF (1M, 17 mL, 17 mmol) dropwise at 0 C. The reaction mixture was stirred for 20 min at 0 C then warmed to 20 C and stirred for 2h. The reaction was quenched by slow addition of MeOH (20 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred for additional 30 min at 20 C. The reaction mixture was concentrated and purified by flash chromatography (Combi-flash Rf, hex/EtOAc 0-40% gradient) to give the title compound (1.34 g, 7.65 mmol) as a light yellow oil.
