Addition of heteroaryl nucleophiles to a simple, readily-accessible alkyl sulfinyl (IV) chloride gave a trigonal bipyramidal sulfurane intermediate. Reductive elimination therefrom provides bis-heteroaryl products in a practical and efficient fashion.
