The filtrate was concentrated and triturated with ether to give an additional 7 g of white solid for a total yield of 28 g: Mp = 129-131C; 1H NMR (DMSO) 7.47 (d, 4 H, J = 7.2 Hz), 7.39 (q, 4 H, J = 7.9 Hz), 7.36-7.32 (m, 1 H), 7.29 (d, 2 H, J = 8.8 Hz), 7.19 (d, 1 H, J = 9.0 Hz), 7.13-7.09 (m, 4 H), 6.80 (dd, 1 H, J = 8.8, 2.4 Hz), 6.73 (s, 4 H), 5.16 (s, 2 H), 5.13 (s, 2 H), 5.11 (s, 2 H), 4.66 (s, 2 H), 4.11 (q, 2 H, J = 7.2 Hz), 2.15 (s, 3 H), 1.16 (t, 3 H, J = 7.2 Hz); MS eI m/z 612.
