The color of the solution quickly changedand the reaction was monitored by TLC. Chloroform (30 mL) was added to the reactionmixture. The organic layer was washed with water (4 × 30 mL), and dried over Na2SO4.After the solvent was evaporated the residue was purified by column chromatography onsilica gel.
